When the Population ages, increases in numbers of people developing complications of heart and Cardiovascular system. With changing lifestyles, lifestyle disorders increases and more people are at risk of cardiovascular diseases. Due to advances in medical technologies, coupled with greater awareness of signs and symptoms, the health care teams and health sciences institutions are marching towards healthy living with courses like Cardiovascular technology to create awareness and to co-manage serious consequences with the use of sophisticated machines, tools and devices. Due to an increase in demand for such trained technologists and technicians trained in cardiovascular technology programs are in great demand.

The program educates and prepares the student to become an invasive cardiovascular specialist know as a B.Sc in Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT). The invasive cardiovascular specialist is a health care professional and an integral member of the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology laboratory teams. The CVT’s primary role is to perform diagnosis and treatment of injury and disease under the direction of qualified physicians.

Duration:

3 years of academic BSc program & 6 months to 1 year of internship.


Eligibility criteria:

The candidate must have passed 10+2, A-Level, IB, American 12th Grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, English, and Biology with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
